THE VILLAGE - Europe's leading trade fair for whisky culture
Meeting place for whisky connoisseurs and enthusiasts
THE VILLAGE takes place annually in Nuremberg in the spring and has established itself as one of the most important meeting places for the international whisky scene since 2013. The fair brings together distilleries, importers, and brands from all over the world. You can expect over 3,000 whiskies – not only from classic countries such as Scotland, Ireland and the USA, but also from Germany, Japan, Iceland, India and many more. The offerings are complemented by master classes, basic seminars, and expert presentations for both beginners and connoisseurs, as well as an atmospheric supporting program with live music , food, and an authentic pub ambiance. Since 2017, THE VILLAGE has been complemented by the rum fair PUEBLO DEL RON , which brings Caribbean flair to Nuremberg with its international rums.

THE VILLAGE 2026 was a complete success
THE VILLAGE reaffirmed its role as the central meeting point for the European whisky scene in 2026. Around 14,000 visitors attended the trade fair and the pre-opening event at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. The accompanying rum fair, PUEBLO DEL RON , took place. Over 230 exhibitors from 16 countries presented approximately 3,000 whiskies and more than 300 rums , complemented by gastronomy, live music, and lifestyle offerings.

The Nuremberg Whisky Fair 2026 was another resounding success. The expanded exhibition space and wider aisles ensured a very pleasant visit for everyone. All those involved with THE VILLAGE were motivated and in good spirits, creating a fantastic atmosphere at the fair. The new, extensive selection of food and beers was superb, but the main focus was, of course, on the whiskies: THE VILLAGE offers a whisky selection that is second to none: from the major brands to small, family-run distilleries, and everything in between, was represented. This rightfully establishes THE VILLAGE as the leading whisky fair in Europe.

The Nuremberg Whisky Fair was once again THE European meeting place for the whisky scene, and we are delighted that all the major suppliers and brands were represented. Several familiar names have also returned. With such a wide selection of whiskies, responsible enjoyment is paramount. We further improved the conditions for this through various measures: numerous water dispensers throughout the fair, more food options, and a more spacious layout created a relaxed atmosphere. In addition, THE VILLAGE ticket included free travel to and from the fair on public transport within the Greater Nuremberg Transport Association (VGN) for the first time, an offer that was well-received by many visitors.

The larger hall provided more space and less crowding. Overall, the atmosphere at THE VILLAGE 2026 was even better than last time. Regarding purchasing behavior, we observed a trend towards buying special, limited-edition bottlings rather than the more affordable basics. Visitors to the Nuremberg Whisky Fair are truly looking for something special. Rum, sherry, and port wines also saw strong demand; we regularly had very interested visitors at our stand, eager to learn more and explore new options.

The focus in 2026 was on PANAMERICA with its whiskey and rum culture. Over 88 brands were presented.
From Field to Bottle – Special: Beer
Whiskey and beer are more closely related than you might think: both are made from grain, water, and yeast. The whiskey-making process begins similarly to beer brewing, with the fermentation of malt, but instead of hops, it is distilled. Many typical aromas come from this beer-like base product. At THE VILLAGE, breweries that also produce whiskey are presenting themselves for the first time – come and try it!
