Dynamic traffic management system
Every year, events take place on over 300 days around Nuremberg's Dutzendteich lake at the closely located Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, the ARENA, and the stadium. In 2004, the award-winning "Dynamic Traffic Management and Parking Guidance System for the Exhibition Centre/Stadium/ARENA" was put into operation. The system continuously monitors the current traffic volume on the access roads and redirects traffic to available routes and parking spaces—18,000 parking spaces are recorded in the system. Thanks to this intelligent traffic management system, congestion and accidents have been significantly reduced.
More information about the traffic management system can be found here.
